WordPress block editor
Put a job board on any page, with blocks
If your site is built with the block editor, your job board is built the same way. Four blocks cover the board, search, filters and the application form — drop them on any page, arrange them how you like, and your own theme styles them.
Standard WordPress blocks. Nothing proprietary to learn.
What it is
Blocks, not shortcodes
Plenty of job board plugins still hand you a shortcode and leave you to guess what it will look like. A shortcode cannot be previewed, cannot be styled from the editor, and tells whoever maintains the site nothing about what it does.
These are real blocks. They appear in the inserter, they render in the editor as they will on the page, and they use your theme’s own styling rather than bringing their own. Somebody who has never seen this plugin can still work out what a Job Board block does.
What you get
Four blocks
-
Job Board
The listing of open roles, on whatever page you put it.
-
Job Search
Keyword search over the board.
-
Job Filters
Sector, location and job type, from your own Bullhorn data.
-
Apply Form
The application form, delivering into Bullhorn like any other.
How they fit your site
Your theme decides how they look
The blocks do not ship a design system. They inherit the colours, spacing and type your theme already sets, so a job board added to an existing site looks like it belongs there rather than like something bolted on. Where you need to go further than the blocks allow, every template behind them can be overridden from your theme.
- Rendered on the server, so what you see is what visitors get
- Styled by your theme’s own tokens
- Usable on any page, not only a dedicated jobs page
- Templates overridable from a child theme for anything else
Specification
What it supports
The detail a build lead asks before standardising on it.
| Blocks | Job Board, Job Search, Job Filters, Apply Form |
|---|---|
| Where they work | Any post or page, including a site editor template |
| Rendering | Server-rendered through the same code path as the job pages, so there is no second behaviour to drift |
| Styling | Your theme’s. The blocks add no design of their own |
| Job pages themselves | Built by the plugin from your theme, not assembled block by block — a role is synced, so its layout is a template rather than a page |
| Going further | Fourteen overridable templates, from a child theme |
