Licences and updates
A licence covers one site and brings updates and support for the year. Staging and development installs are not charged for. The part worth knowing in advance is what happens if a licence lapses — the answer is that your website keeps working.
Activation
The Licences screen
W3Bullhorn → Licences.
Enter the licence key for this site. The screen shows the activation state, which site it is activated against, and when it renews. Each site is activated separately, because each site is a separate installation with its own Bullhorn connection.
Non-production installs — staging, development, a local copy — are not charged for. They are recognised from the WordPress environment type, and the screen shows which of your activations are counted as non-production so there is no mystery about what you are using.
Renewals
If a licence lapses
The promise, stated plainly, because customers test it.
- Your site keeps working. Job pages stay published, the sync keeps running and applications keep reaching Bullhorn.
- What stops is new versions. You stop receiving updates, and support ends with the term.
- Nothing is switched off. The plugin does not hold your board hostage to an expired card.
Cancel any time before renewal. The commercial detail is on the pricing page; this page covers only what the software does.
Keeping current
Updates
Updates arrive through the normal WordPress plugin update mechanism once a licence is active on the site. Each package is verified before it is installed, so an update that has been tampered with in transit is refused rather than applied.
Update on staging first where you have one. The plugin follows Bullhorn’s API, and Bullhorn occasionally changes it — the drift check in the diagnostics will usually have told you about that before an update does.
