Search and filtering
Filters candidates can use, on addresses you can share
Sectors, locations and job types come from your own Bullhorn data, so the filters match how your desks are organised. Every filtered view has its own address, which means a consultant can send a shortlist link and a campaign can land on a pre-filtered board.
Works without JavaScript, and faster with it.
The problem it solves
Filtering that exists, but cannot be pointed at
Most embedded boards can filter. What they cannot do is give the result an address, so the filtered view exists only for the person who clicked, and only while they stay on the page.
Filters inside a widget
The result lives nowhere
- No link to send a client or a candidate
- Paid campaigns land on the whole board
- Nothing for search engines to index per sector or town
- Empty results with no counts to warn anyone
With W3Bullhorn
Every filtered view is a real page
- Shareable, bookmarkable addresses
- Counts on each filter before the click
- Sector and location views search engines can read
- Keyword search across your live roles
On your board
Built from your Bullhorn data, not a fixed list
Sectors, locations and job types are taken from your own Bullhorn data and become WordPress taxonomies, so they match how your desks are organised rather than a list someone else decided. A developer can use them the way they would use any WordPress taxonomy.
- Filter by sector, location and job type
- Counts on each filter, so candidates never hit an empty board
- Keyword search across your live roles
- Ordinary WordPress taxonomies underneath
Specification
What it supports
What a developer checks before quoting a build.
| Filters | Sector, location and job type, taken from your Bullhorn data |
|---|---|
| Keyword search | Across your live roles, on your own site |
| Filtered addresses | Each combination has its own address, which can be shared, bookmarked and linked to |
| Counts | Shown per filter, so a candidate can see where the roles are before clicking |
| Underneath | WordPress taxonomies and an index built for the job board, not a third-party search service |
| Without JavaScript | Filters are ordinary links, so the board still works when scripts do not |
Boundaries
What search and filtering does not do
-
It is not a CV search
This searches your published roles. Searching candidates is what Bullhorn is for, and candidate records are never copied to your website.
-
It does not invent categories
Filters come from your own Bullhorn data. If two desks spell a sector differently, the board shows what Bullhorn holds.
-
It is not a third-party search service
Nothing about your board is sent to an external search provider to make filtering work.
W3Bullhorn is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Bullhorn, Inc. Bullhorn is a trademark of its owner.
